Todd and Elaine’s new book about Pinhook, When They Blew the Levee: Race, Politics, and Community in Pinhook, MO, has just been published by University of Mississippi Press.

Our book tells the story of the people of Pinhook as they told it to us. It can be purchased here and at many other booksellers.

Taking Pinhook

In 2014, Elaine and Todd produced the following 26-minute documentary on the town of Pinhook. It tells the story of the displaced residents of the town following the intentional breaching of the Birds Point – New Madrid levee.

The filmmakers give permission for anyone to view and share this film for informational and educational purposes.
